Here’s my version of the green juice concoction I recently had at True Food Kitchen – my new favorite healthy, allergy-friendly restaurant.
Their Kale-Aid is juiced, and contains kale, apple, cucumber, celery, lemon and ginger.
Mine is blended and includes all the fiber from the greens and fruit, and a couple extra ingredients.
Kale Aid Green Smoothie
Yield: 1 serving
You will need: blender, knife, cutting board, measuring cups and spoons
1 whole lemon (juice of)
4-5 mini apples (or 1 – 1.5 whole)
Fresh ginger, large chunk peeled
3 T hemp seeds
1 stalk celery
1/4 cup fresh parsley
3-4 stalks kale, de-stemmed
1 cup water
Blend. Infuse your cells with anti-oxidants, anti-inflammatories, delicious, bright fresh flavors, a symphony of vitamins and more!
